Lowell Girls’ School to Participate in the 2026 KT Rach Women’s Basketball Tournament

Empowering Girls Through Sport, Confidence and Life Skills

Lowell Girls’ School is proud to announce its participation in the fifth edition of the KT Rach Women’s Basketball Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, 25 October 2026, at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala.

The tournament brings together secondary school girls through basketball, creating an opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent, build confidence and develop valuable life skills. Fourteen schools are expected to participate in this year’s school-focused edition, which combines sporting competition with learning and personal development. <Link url="https://kawowo.com/2026/10/15/kt-rach-womens-basketball-tournament-set-for-schools-edition/" title="Read more about the tournament"/>.

For Lowell Girls’ School, participation reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education, recognising that learning extends beyond the classroom. Through sports, learners develop discipline, teamwork, resilience, leadership and respect for others—qualities that contribute to their growth both on and off the court.

The tournament will also incorporate educational activities, including sessions on personal hygiene, reinforcing the importance of making informed decisions and adopting healthy lifestyles.

As the Lowell girls prepare to take to the court, the school celebrates their dedication, courage and willingness to challenge themselves. Their participation is an opportunity to learn from other schools, strengthen their sporting abilities and represent Lowell with pride.

We look forward to an exciting day of basketball, learning and sisterhood, and wish our girls every success as they demonstrate the Lowell spirit of Truth and Excellence Prevails.

Come and see Lowell for yourself.

Tours run on weekday mornings during term. Bring your daughter and your questions.
